We have been closely monitoring weather conditions and conferring with other local agencies and our operational staff. All D303 schools will be open and operating on a normal schedule tomorrow–Tuesday, Jan. 21. We anticipate and are working to ensure regular operations on our busing routes and in our school buildings. We encourage staff and families to dress for subzero temperatures. As always, families have the option of keeping their children home if they believe the weather is too cold to be outside.

Music benefits young people in many areas of their lives. Communication and social skills are strengthened and creative and analytical skills are nurtured. Learning to play an instrument and participating in an ensemble are valuable experiences for all students. Band directors of District 303 are committed to providing students with meaningful learning opportunities and positive musical experiences. We look forward to sharing our love and enthusiasm of music with your child!
Overview
Band is offered to all 5th grade students in District 303. Our band teacher, Mrs. William, sees students one day a week before school (7:30-8:30a.m.) where the whole band practices together, as well as, one time a week in a small group lesson for 30 minutes for more individual instruction during the school day. We have a Winter and Spring Concert, in addition to optional performances like playing the "Star Spangled Banner" at the Kane County Cougars game.
